Each Hypnobabies childbirth education class series consists of 6 classes meeting for 3 – 3.5 hours each week for 6 weeks. All handouts and materials will be sent to you so you never need to print anything. This live Zoom Los Angeles-based group Hypnobabies Childbirth class series is fun and informative. This group class is limited to you + 5 other expecting mothers, and is preferred by those:

Hypnobabies also has a wonderful home study option and can be purchased directly from Hypnobabies.com. The cost is $189-$239 depending on if you order the online home study version or the (hard copy) print edition version of the home study course. This is a self-study that the birthing person does mostly on their own, though birth partners are encouraged to follow along and have a few small things to do to be involved. It contains the same wonderful tools and techniques that are taught in the live Hypnobabies childbirth class.
The print edition of the home study course includes all Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis printed workbooks, booklets, handouts and audio tracks (on MP3 download cards), which is especially great if you don’t want to print out a TON of materials because they send them all to you, shipped in an organized fashion! Our doula clients love the print edition because it keeps them accountable and is easily accessible in a binder; a tangible way to learn since having physical papers can be more of a reminder to create a ritual.

I was apprehensive about childbirth, and I wanted to feel more ‘in control’ during the experience – I was hoping not to use an epidural, but I had no idea what class to take. After working as a Certified Birth Doula for many years, I heard about Hypnobabies from a colleague. I had supported clients who had taken a hypnobirthing class but most of those tools went out the window during labor. So when I first heard about medical-grade hypnosis in Hypnobabies which is not in regular hypnobirthing, I was a huge doubter and I thought there had to be some sort of a trick. I was encouraged over and over again, hearing birth stories from another Hypno-Doula about how easy women were laboring after taking Hypnobabies, and decided to train in the extensive Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula program.
After my training, I was listed on the Hypnobabies website and moms who took the Hypnobabies method started contacting me. I realized these moms who had taken the Hypnobabies method were experiencing even shorter, more relaxing and more comfortable labors than my birth clients who weren't using Hypnobabies.
I found my clients who take an instructor-led Hypnobabies childbirth class or those who do the Hypnobabies Home Study Self-Course have MUCH shorter labors (4-10 hours shorter) than women who choose traditional childbirth classes which focus on coping with pain vs. hypnosis training on relaxation AND they’re falling asleep through birthing waves (contractions) at 10 cm dilated (also called being “complete” when the cervix is fully dilated and pushing can begin)!
My Hypnobabies birth clients experience phenomenal births when they use birth hypnosis specifically through Hypnobabies… so much I had to reduce my regular birth doula package fee by $$$ for those using Hypnobabies because it makes my job so much easier, labor is shorter, and as an incentive for woman to be able to experience this profound type of birth they deserve.
It is so very fulfilling for me to guide an expecting mother through a safe, memorable, and empowering birth experience. Seeing expecting mothers benefit from much more comfortable and easier births using Hypnobabies as a Hypno-Doula inspired me to take the training to become a childbirth educator a few years later, and I began teaching the Hypnobabies Childbirth classes myself! I have been teaching them for 5 years and found that Zoom is the best way to teach this class as most women don't want to sit 20-40 minutes while pregnant and driving to an in-person class, sitting for 3 hours, and then driving or riding in a car another 20-40 minutes while pregnant to get home. Teaching on Zoom allows for deep relaxation at the end of the class, so when I read the hypnosis script at the end of our evening class, you can drift off to dreamland and have much better sleep in pregnancy.
